Plans and billing

Pick a plan, see what the optional hosted wallet pays for, and manage updates, devices and billing.

Your plan pays for the Slashspace app: using it on your computers and getting new versions. AI usage is separate. If you work with your own API keys, a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, or local models, the plan is all you pay Slashspace.

The hosted wallet is optional: it pays for Slashspace's own hosted models and AI tools, which need no provider accounts. Use a model you already pay for, the wallet, or both, whichever costs you least.

The plans

Yearly subscriptionLifetime
Price$89 a year, after a 3-day free trial$249, one payment
UpdatesEvery update while you subscribeEvery update we ship
Devices22
Included hosted usage$5, added once$5, added once

Both plans include every feature and unlimited canvases. The included $5 goes into your hosted wallet when the subscription starts (trial included) or when you buy Lifetime, and isn't added again at renewal.

The free trial

The yearly subscription starts with a 3-day free trial that needs a card. The card is charged $89 when the trial ends, then once a year. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

The trial includes everything the paid year does, including the $5 of hosted usage. Adding wallet funds and device slots opens after your first payment. Each account gets one trial, and so does each computer: a second account on the same computer sees "This device already had a free trial."

Tip: If you start the trial and then decide on Lifetime, cancel the trial with Manage subscription before you buy Lifetime, so the trial doesn't charge you.

Updates and when a plan ends

  • Yearly subscription: every new version installs while it's active. If you cancel, access continues to the end of the period you paid for (or the end of the trial) and nothing more is charged. If a renewal payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card.
  • When a subscription ends, Slashspace opens to a plan screen ("Your trial or subscription has ended") instead of your canvases. Your canvases stay on your computer. Subscribe or buy Lifetime to open them in Slashspace again.
  • Lifetime: every future version is yours, with nothing to renew.

If you have the earlier one-off license

If you bought the earlier $89 one-off license, the app is yours for good and Settings > Plans shows Updates until a date. After that date your version keeps working, but new versions aren't offered. To get them, click Subscribe for $89/year, or Get lifetime updates to switch to Lifetime.

The hosted wallet

The Optional hosted wallet pays for:

  • Slashspace's hosted models: the Slashspace group in the model picker, including Auto.
  • Hosted AI tools such as image generation, unless you use your own OpenRouter key for images.

It never pays for models on your own API keys, subscription providers (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), Ollama or custom providers. Capturing web pages, fetching post transcripts and using included connectors don't draw from it either.

Each hosted reply or image is charged what it cost to run, rounded up to the cent. A hosted request needs at least $0.50 in the wallet to start. Your plan adds 50 cents on top of the included $5 to cover that, so a new wallet shows a little over $5.

Add funds

  1. In Settings > Plans or Settings > Account, click Add funds on the wallet card. Your account page opens in your browser.
  2. Click Add funds there and enter the Spendable balance to add: steps of $10, up to $200 per purchase.
  3. Check You pay and click Pay. Each $10 of balance costs $11: the 10% platform fee is added on top, so the whole $10 is spendable.

Adding funds opens once you've paid for Slashspace (not during the trial). Added funds don't expire and aren't refundable.

When the wallet runs low or empty

With a hosted model selected and less than $1.50 left, the model button shows the balance (for example "$1.20 left"). When the wallet can't cover a request, hosted replies stop with "Your hosted wallet has insufficient funds for the Slashspace provider." and image generation shows Out of usage balance.

Nothing else changes: the app, your canvases and every non-hosted model keep working. Add funds, or switch the chat to another model.

Manage your plan in Settings

Settings > Plans shows your plan and its status, the plan cards if you don't have one yet, and the wallet. Settings > Account shows the same plan with a status chip, plus the wallet and your devices (Account and devices explains the chips). Purchases and billing open in your browser.

On a subscription, Manage subscription opens Stripe's billing portal to update your card, cancel or download invoices. Other plans get Manage Billing, which opens your account page on slashspace.ai. If a purchase you made in the browser doesn't show up, click Already subscribed? Refresh at the bottom of Settings > Plans.

Devices

Each plan covers 2 computers. Once you've paid for Slashspace (not during the trial), you can buy extra device slots for $49 each, a one-time purchase, with Buy more slots on your account page. To see, rename or remove devices, go to Account and devices.

Redeem a code

There's no box to type a code into. Lifetime deals bought through a partner, and Rabbitholes lifetime deals, are matched to your account by the email you bought with. Sign in at slashspace.ai/account with that email (create the account if you need to) to see your plan, then sign in to the desktop app with the same email.

If your deal doesn't show up, email support@slashspace.ai with your code and the email you bought with, and we'll apply it.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 7 days of a Lifetime purchase or of any yearly payment, no questions asked. Email support@slashspace.ai with your purchase details. Transaction fees are deducted, and a refund ends the access it paid for. Wallet top-ups aren't refundable. The Terms of Use have the full policy.

Older plans

If you're on a plan Slashspace no longer sells, such as an earlier monthly or yearly plan, it continues unchanged at its original price. Settings > Plans shows its name with Current plan and Manage Billing. Paid older plans can add wallet funds and device slots too. Rabbitholes lifetime deals keep lifetime updates: see Moving from Rabbitholes.
